Essence, Circus Circus in 01 it's magic - Review

I recently bought a creamy eyeshadow from Essence, it's Circus Circus in 01 it's magic. It is the most gorgeous gold color. There was also a brown and a black color, but I'm obsessed with gold eyeshadow, it brings out the green in my eyes so I had to get it :)

The color is very nicely pigmented, it's slightly lighter than in the picture, sorry about the lousy pics. It actually looks more like the color in the pot in the first pic. But it goes on very smoothly and it lasts all day! I didn't have to do any touch ups, it didn't budge at all. I thought it would budge cause it's a cream, but it didn't. I used a very small amount and get a lot of coverage. This product will last me a very long time, and I always apply atleast a little everyday. I put some in my inner corners so I don't look so sleepy, or I'll apply more for a night out. Gold's my go to, and I love this product.
I would definatley recommend this to anyone who likes intense eyeshadow colors.

It gets 5 stars!

Hair chalking - how to!

So this is my attempt at hair chalking:
and now I'm gonna tell you how you can do it!
First, you're going to need: chalk or dry pastels, hair curling iron, hairspray
I would really recommend dry pastels, they're more pigmented so the color will turn out more vibrant than with chalk. Also they're more powdery and very fine textured, so it'll be easier to apply and it's less abrasive to your hair folicles, so less damage!

1. Pick out a strand of hair
2. Rub the pastel stick onto the hair, until you've covered that area with color
3. Spray hairspray, more is better in this case, you want the color to stay on your hair, not get it on your clothes... like me :/
4. Set with your curling iron

That's it! Pretty simple right? It turns out much better on blonde hair. I did try on some brown pieces, but mostly the very bright colors, like orange and hot pink showed up.
The best part is it's not permanent, and it washes out with one shampooing :)
Also I played around with the colors, like I put orange and pink on one strand, it gave it a colored ombre effect.
This was so much fun to do! I would definately recommend trying it out. I know I'll be doing this again :) If you have any questions please feel free to ask, I'll be happy to help :)

Review: Got2be Guardian Angel Heat Protectant

So, I've been needing a new heat protectant, seeing as my hair is long and I hate damaging it, and living without a blowdryer is so hard. Especially during winter. So I was using a heat protectant from Syoss for a while, but honestly was kind of disappointed in it. I know I gave it a 4 in a previous review, but I wanted something better.

So I bought Got2be's Guardian Angel heat protectant. It says it protects heat upto 220 C, for blowdrying and heat tools. First of all, I love the smell so much, it is divine!! After blowdrying my hair has no frizz, it's smooth, sleek and incredibly soft. I went ahead and straightened my hair and it was super sleek and still soft. I have noticed some split ends after about a month of use, I blowdry about 3 times a week on medium heat, and flat iron once every two weeks. But honestly no product can protect your hair completely from heat damage. But the product definately did minimize the damage and it leaves my hair super soft after heat usage. So I would definately recommend this to anyone who's looking for a heat protectant. Not to mention it fits anyones budget, I bought mine at a local drugstore. So it gets a full 5 stars. If you have any questions please feel free to ask!

Review: Syoss Dry Shampoo, Volume lift

This product does extend your hairstyle or blowout an extra day. It works. It has a very light scent which I am extremely pleased with. One other thing I liked is that it didn't show up on my hair at all. This would be great for people with brown or darker hair because it doesn't leave any trace of whiteness on your hair. *Unless of course you spray too much, but then you'd just brush it out ;)
What bothered me was that I didn't get any volume. If it says Volume lift, I want it to lift. It was silky, it was smooth but it was not voluminous.
This product did save me from being late and I didn't expect it to work as nicely as it does. So even though it didn't do much for volume, I'm still giving it a 5 out of 5.

Review: Garnier Fructis Repair and Shine, Oleo-intense 3 min hair mask

I would really recommend this hair mask. It leaves your hair soft, maneagable, very shiny and leaves a great scent on your hair. I leave it on for half an hour, not 3 minutes, cause it seems like a waste to leave it on for 3 minutes. But how long you leave it on depends on how damaged your hair is. Also if you're going to leave it on for a longer period of time, make sure you don't put any of it directly onto your scalp. It has 3 oils in it: olive, avocado and karite, and there's little granules in it. Those granules are supposed to be pieces of melting apricot. It really does help make hair damage much less noticable. I use it about once a week, and I use it all up after about 2 months. So, considering it lasts me that long, the price is acceptable and I get great results, it gets five stars :)

Review: Maybelline New York - Affinitone 24h foundation

This foundation does last a very long time. It will not sweat off or anything it's great for shine control. Coverage is ok, especially if your skin already is blemish free. It is just not for covering bigger imperfections. Also, I would not recommend it to people with dry skin. It looks bad if you don't moisturize first, trust me. Since I've been using it my pores have gotten worse. Maybe it's the micro flex stuff in it, but it just doesnt agree with me.
I used to use Maybelline's "Wonder finish" foundation, and it was perfect but it got discontinued :(

So if you like a longlasting matte look it would probably be great for you.
Personally I don't think a foundation should clog your pores. Plus, make-up should not be on your face for 24 hours straight, that's really unhygienic. This foundation is pointless because you're supposed to wash your face twice a day. So it only gets one star.
